I was born and raised in the Dominican Republic. I graduated from the Universidad Iberoamericana with a Degree in Business. I relocated to New York City to attend the Fashion Institute of Technology and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Degree in Interior Design.
My entire life has been dedicated to the love for all things of beauty as it relates to design and architecture. I was fortunate and successful when I worked for Gensler, a global architecture, design and planning Firm where I not only gained experience in architectural design and graphic skills, I was elected President of their Internship Program, participated in designs for Charrettes for NBC, assisted in LEED CI Certification for Morgan Stanley and was a key part of the survey and documentation of existing site conditions.
Ricardo Acosta Design Studio began as a natural outgrowth of my experience, success and love for Graphic Design and Architecture. My goal is quite simple: To take all the beauty that surrounds us and make it a living part of everyday life. Sophistication, yet simplicity combined with beauty to last a life time!
Design Associate
Being born and raised in the Dominican Republic, my Grandmother and parents had a great deal of influence on my learning painting, sculpting, baking and photography and so much more. I attended private school and graduated from the Universidad Iberoamericana with a Degree in Marketing but always had a grounded love for the beautiful and unique possibilities in life and design.
My passions are many. I love Fashion Design and I am inspired by world beauty and am always creating new patterns and forms with color, fabric, texture and shapes from what surrounds me in life. I am inspired by all possibilities and take all from the “threads” of my life and forever inter-twine them as I travel and move forward.
At Ricardo Acosta Design Studio, I am able to use my unique talents and love for all thing beautiful to create and design all that is possible.
I had the pleasure of working with Ricardo directly for Consulting Services on my start-up jewelry company’s Logo, Event Banner and Website. In addition, we collaborated on ways to creatively move my company forward. Ricardo is an exceptional person with rare and creative talent that inspires and helps to build a truly stand out company in look and feeling. His customer service, attention to all details, his ability to see the finished results very early on and his sophistication as well as his superior knowledge and ability brought a new meaning and experience to me for working with true talent.
